character hotel attentive staff

i found the hotel well maintained. the staff was very attentive. i especially liked the character of the building. the full english breakfast was a real treat..

the noise from the pub downstairs was quite audible. i had difficulty sleeping until the pub closed. this was a bit disruptive after a long day.

The family room was comfortably appointed with all expected amenities. i particularly appreciated the steak and pie dinner. It was packed with meat and very tasty. the service was attentive and polite.

the pillow was too firm for my liking and the bed creaked with every movement. i also noted the absence of an openable window, though a fan was provided to mitigate the heat.

The family room had ample space with a double bed plus two single beds. cleanliness was a strong point. The room was tidy. i liked that the bathroom provided basic amenities.

i noticed some of the electrics had not been tested as recently as stated on the safety label. this could be checked to ensure safety.

Acceptable stay, but some issues

cramped room no ventilation

The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room I got was cramped for the price. The bathroom had NO ventilation. I was told to close it after a shower. It will set off all the alarms otherwise. I was THOROUGHLY disappointed.
